How to Declutter When Overwhelmed

How To Declutter When Overwhelmed

I just motivated myself by rereading this decluttering post. There are so many great tips– if I do say so myself! I do think the #1 best tip to declutter is simply GET RID OF STUFF. Otherwise, you are spending time organizing clutter & will have to do it over and over again.

I’m still in the process of purging out home but 2018 is the year where I will conquer all the clutter in all rooms, closets, and drawers. I want to up my game when it comes to cleaning, and you can’t clean well if you are too busy tidying all the stuff! Cheers much easier cleaning because of clear surfaces and clear floors!

Getting Started With The Instant Pot

This post marked the beginning of my love affair with the Instant Pot. I had owned it for just over a week and had already used it to make 7 things, which are shared in the post. The featured Hard Boiled Eggs, Applesauce, Sweet Potatoes, Glazed Carrots & Beef Stew are all recipes I made all year and will continue to make. Interesting that I have not made the beets again…still trying to fall in love with beets!

3 Ingredient Protein Pancakes

3 Ingredient Protein Pancakes

These are not fluffy, carb loaded, make-pancakes-for-your-out-of-town company type pancakes. No, these are pancakes you make when you are craving carbs or a sweet but want to eat healthily and stay away from empty calories. They are super simple and still a food crush for me. They are great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, snack or “brinner” (breakfast for dinner).

Simple Tips, Tricks, and Routines for Keeping Your Car Clean

It is good for me to freshen up on these tips, tricks, and routines for Keeping a Clean Car. Right now it is 6 degrees outside, and I find that my car gets messier on cold winter days. It all comes down to a rushing mentality! I find myself wanting to quickly get out of the cold and into our warm the house without taking a minute to be purposeful in looking around to see what I can grab to tidy up the car. My drink holders also tend to get filled with warm drink cups in the winter.

The slush from melting snow and ice is not too kind to the outside of our car, either. Winter can be messy, but I know I can stay on top of a messy car (and so can you!) with these tips.

No Bake Clean Eating Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars

No Bake Clean Eating Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Bars

These bars are simply delicious. They may be my favorite recipe here on the blog. I just love the peanut butter and chocolate combo, the creaminess of the layers thanks to coconut oil, and a bit of crunch from the added krispies. I also love that they are not too bad for you compared to most decadent dessert bars.

Abs Core & Pelvic Floor Exercise Program

Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor

This is one of those posts where I knew I had to share this program with you!  It was so helpful to me and I know I’m not alone in needing some abs, core and pelvic floor help, but I may have done it blushing a little. I’ve been an open book here at New Nostalgia, and I had to open that book a wide for this post!

My Cancer World & Be The Match

I do sponsored posts from time to time here at New Nostalgia. It is a way that I can help support my family and pay for the costs of running a website. I so appreciate you all reading and clicking, for without readers I would not have a business or do what I love. I am very proud of this particular sponsored post. An opportunity to share some of my story and the story of those I love. You all were so kind in your response.

Indian Butter Chicken

Instant Pot Indian Butter Chicken

I first tasted this Indian Butter Chicken recipe in California, made by dear friends in their Instant Pot. I’ve made it so many times since then. It is so delicious and keeps me from spending too much money eating out at my favorite Indian Food Restaurant. It is easy to make but tastes like you slaved for hours. So yummy!

How To Get Beachy Waves With A Curling Wand

Once in a while, a post will make its way onto my screen thanks to my background in cosmetology. I was a hairstylist and makeup artist before we had children, and I still love sharing some fun beauty tips on the blog. I plan on doing a bit more of this in 2018 because you have asked me to!

My beauty tips will have a natural bend to them. Being a cancer survivor, I care about what products I use on my face, hair, and body. I will be sharing some of my favs with you! Hint: many of them are simple, inexpensive DIY’s!

DIY Daily Sink Scrub Shaker Top

DIY Daily Sink Scrub

I love that you loved this scrub because I love this scrub! I use it almost every day and it keeps my sink shining. It is so much fun changing up the essential oil each time I mix it up. Lemon Oil is always refreshing, Purify Blend smells so so clean, and At Peace is a favorite scent to end the evening with, as I find myself using this after dinner dishes and when I’m ready to wind down.

See how easy it is to make here.
