Brown Sugar Cinnamon Baked Peaches

Brown-Sugar-Cinnamon-Peaches-3

It is not often that a recipe makes my eyes roll, but they ROLLED when I tasted these baked peaches. They got wide with first bite and rolled while “mmmmm” escaped from my lips while chewing. I was in disbelief that peaches could taste this good with so little effort!

I felt like I was eating a peach pie minus the crust, which I didn’t miss at all, and I am a big-time crust person!  If you want to feel like you are eating the most delicious peach pie without all the work of rolling dough and slicing fruit, then this recipe is for you.

Do you love my new little baking dish? Our dear friends from Chicago gifted it to me. It was chosen from his workplace and lovingly presented when they arrived in town for their awesome summer visit. If you follow me on Instagram, you got a glimpse of the amazing time we had. Our kids have grown up together and friendship has blossomed despite the long-distance. They are a gift to our family and it was so sweet that they arrived bearing this sweet gift for me! I love it. It came with the best serving spatula, which is the perfect size that I have been wanting! You can find them both, baker and spatula as a kit, here.

I’ve written before of these sweet friends of ours…how it is a miracle their entire family is alive and how my sweet Sharon friend was my hands and arms after my mastectomy & the photos of her blowing out a fake candle that makes me just ache because I miss her so much!

We love their family so much!

Dot them with butter, then sprinkle them with brown sugar & cinnamon. Man, my mouth is watering just typing that! I. Want. Some. NOW.

Bake then let them just a bit, they are best served warm. They are a great way to have a sweet treat but still get your fruit servings in, and oh my–they smell delicious!

Our local grocery store just got some Colorado Peaches in and I’m off to buy some today. They were selling them by the pound or by the lug. After writing about this recipe, I’m thinking a lug will do!

 Brown Sugar Baked Peaches

1 fresh peach

1 teaspoon butter, divided

2-4 teaspoons brown sugar, divided

Sprinkling of cinnamon, to taste

{this recipe X however many peaches you desire to bake}

Halve the peach and remove the pit. Place in a baking dish, skin side down.

Place 1/2 teaspoon of butter in the hollow of each peach half, top with 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar, and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Repeat process for desired amount of peaches.

Bake at 375 until peaches are tender, about 20-30 minutes. Serve warm.

Enjoy!
